Nigeria’s Richest Woman Folorunsho Alakija is proud to say that she never went to university. This businesswoman is worth $2.6 billion by FORBES. While addressing the students at University of Lagos she revealed that she did not have a university education.
“So I am 63 and I am not yet done. So what is your excuse? I never went to a University and I am proud to say so because I don’t think I have done too badly,” she said during the motivational talk.
Alakija studied fashion in London and came back to her country to open Supreme Stitches, a fashion outlet focused on the elite and fashionable.
Apart from the fashion label, she owns several real estate properties, Oil Prospecting License and is a philanthropist. She was also born into a rich Nigerian family and is married to Modupe Alakija, and they have four sons together.
